The World I See (Dump from the Past)

This world I see is a mystery to me
Behind your doors you keep the pretty things
And you guard your heart with a lock and key
But I break your locks and this is what I see
Misery pain and confusion
Block these ties from binding
And so we sit here thinking
Of all the lies that set in
While you weren’t looking
So look again, my friend
And you’ll see that light again
Again
Again

This world I see is a mystery to me
Behind your doors you keep the pretty things
And you guard your heart with a lock and key
But I break your locks and this is what I see
So we sing trapped in our cages
Just where we’ve been for ages
But step out into the mazes
And you’ll find the company of crazies
Because normal’s not true
And the strange will be there for you
Waiting to see what you do
You do
You do
When this world you view makes no more sense to you
Don’t sit don’t rue there’s a lot of things to do
Cause the tears you shed are not the only blue
And the sky above is always there for you
So are we.
So are we.

A Short Poem (Dump from the Past)

Faceless mask, unrequited love,
Lost in the mist to the ones above
I miss you so, and love you deeply.
Those will always be
My last words.

With Friends

There is a little sapling
Growing
In front of me.
All alone
The grass grows beneath it.
But can the grass know what it knows

From where they grow?
There are tall trees
all along the sides.
But so far away
They must seem.
Then I think of the wind.
That a tree does not see.
It only feels the wind as it passes.
The little one must feel
that the friends are near.
For the tree has never known "far away."
The tree lives in such good company.
It does not bother to see the distance.
Only does it feel the wind
Between it's fingers.
Like the reassuring grasp
Of a held hand
On a long walk
With Friends.

What It's Like to Have Wings

All along the allusionist plains

And through the trees of strenuous strain

Onward and forward and forthwith they went

Hither and thither, like wind, never spent

Like seams of a dream thought and then sought

They went where wily ones told ought to naught

Over the valleys, and through all the fields

With no need for sword, and no need for shield

For love laid in wait around every veer

In all corner and crevice, a soul was found near

And with nothing left to tarry and bare

Everything left was left out to share.

One Sunny Day

Why, oh why, do you hide?

Behind cloud and night, you hide your light.

The moon and sky betray your trust.

Consumed with lust, they wake with dawn and dusk.

But can't you see the love we have, or do you know it wouldn't last?

Because when the light shines on our back, so frequently, our efforts lack

If the latter is your answer, then hide away.

But please come back, One Sunny Day.
